Any issues with the motor? Be honest. I'm really interested in how long it will last.

Engine ran fine except for two fuel pressure hiccups. I'm thinking it was vapor lock. Yeah yeah, run race 93 fuel. But I'm sure I could drive a stock vette all over the course and it would do the same. Besides plumbing, what's the issue?

Azunia R8 Ford 5.0 is still running their original motor since it was built. Going on 2 years now.

Engine rule will not make you buy the engine from turnkey just have it tagged by them. There are a few part numbers that will be legal. One for the engine and one for the controller.
These will be 400-420 hp sealed v8 engines. If anyone thinks these trucks are going to be competitive and significantly under 4000 lbs you are crazy!
Just build your trucks and lets see what is the better design in the desert!

How much down time would you say this caused? Were you guys in the bottle neck? The avg. MPH is pretty typical of top 7200 trucks at most races. Nobody in 7200 seemed to have a flawless day, and the bottle neck slowed everybody down. I can see your fuel issues and the bottle neck taking the mph average down a tiny bit as well and making it that much harder to creep into the top 25 or even 20.

Vapor Lock??? really??? I told Jerry how to hook up the regulator but he just won't listen.
