2012 Baja 500 Course???

What are the rumors the same old course with minor changes or finally 500 miles???????

Will it ever change significantly, I doubt it - land use issues are on both sides of the border.

Hopefully they will change the course; SCORE made great changes to the SF 250 course so why not do it for the Baja 500?

I heard that Sal and PAB are down marking the course already.... starts in Ensenada (duh?), to Ojos.. Tres Hermanos.... over El Pedgregoso to Santo Tomas... down to Erindira, to San Vincente, over crossover road... grassy knoll... cross San Rafael Creek... up Simpson's... down to Mike's... out to Matias, left to VDT... UP GOAT TRAIL! (whooohooo... yipee yi yay!) by where the guy shot that dude on a bike ( ouch... duck!) and up through Parque Laguna Hansen... then down Cerro Muerto... down to Ojos Negros Norte.... in to finish in Ensenada!

You heard it here first! Don't tell SAL or PAB I told you... they swore me to secrecy and will keow me!

for us, i hope it stays about the same. it's challenging and we have done very well on this particular course..and we don't have to spend a lot of time and money prerunning..but whatever they come up with is fine if changes are made..it's our favorite race and i can't wait..

Here's what I heard. Big parade out of town to Ojos for the official start line. From Ojos to 77, over the summit down to Borrego and then run the San Felipe loop (everyone loves that loop) finish at the arches.


Kidding, I have no idea but I can't wait! Rumor has it that there just might be a dress party at Mikes!
