    Ecotec Question???

    I just got the latest Dirt sports Mag. March 2012. It has a very good article on the ecotec engines. With all of the engine option ( LE5, LE9, LAF, ect) Which is the best engine to get from a salavge yard for a class 10 car? I was thinking that the LAF 2.4 would be the best option. What is everyone else running? Thanks for the help?

    We just got our 2.4 LAF shipped to the shop on Monday. If you have any questions, I would call Bruce at CBM 909.291.7550 or Steve Humphrey (EFIharness) 909.910.3867. Both guys are very knowledgeable and can point you in the right direction.

    Thanks for the info. I was thinking the LAF would be the best choice. just wasn't sure.

    The LAF is not legal in all racing orgs.

    The laf motor is the direct injection 2.4 .Some orgs are allowing them for next season. There is lots of talk, but on firm rules yet. Steve

    Has anyone heard any new news about this?? A friend of mine has his DI Ecotec at Turnkey right now and they're still trying to figure out the correct restrictor???...seems like they're not too keen on this...motor has been there for quite awhile now...
