what the hell happened to the 1664 car? Broke in half?
I know the driver and his story is that he endoed on lap one somewhere between CP5 and 7. In-car video facing the driver shows that he was knocked unconscious briefly. He landed on his wheels so when he came to he restarted the engine and took off. He did another complete lap and at the top end of Gypsum Rd. the frame finally failed. Only the top tubes and the steering column were holding it at the end.
I was right there when it happened! We were at Rescue Retrieval 26 mile marker 33 I think, on Gypsum rd. Heard his rattling really bad when he went by, me, then over
a couple of Whoops and it broke almost in half!!! Crazy... He was riding it hard. Fun guy, talked with him for a while.
