    Unhappy Roadmaster

How good do you think a 7 year old radio would be? Saw an ad for a Roadmaster and a couple Neutec's from Racer X. Do you think I should be fine with either one to chase with? Thoughts?

We just used a 20 year old ICOM handheld radio and it worked fine. I think you would be good.

Caesar, are you sure they were from us? I don;t recall having any ads placed for such although we do come up for some from time to time. On another note, the Roadmaster / neuter's are great radios, very reliable, big, and heavy when compared to newer technology but great. I like to say they are the VHS of radios compared with DVD. Feel free to give us a call to see what we have available used as we usually have a wide variety.

    Thanks!

Hey Mike, thanks for your reply. I actually saw the radios on craigslist. I figured I'd ask a bit before I buy and maybe take them to you to give them a once-over. I didn't know you posted ads: where can I find them? With work being so slow and the 500 coming up, I could really use some help with used equipment as I can't really afford a new setup right now.

My PCI Roadmaster still works great. I bought it back in 1989.

Is this the ad you were referring to:http://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/ele/2952971493.html

If so, that is a pretty good deal for a radio and Mag Mount Antenna. I don't know whose they are but it looks like we serviced and programmed at least 2 of them.

You can always bring them by to us and I'll bench test them with the antenna at no charge for power output and antenna tune. Give me a call at 619-258-7223 or e-mail me [email protected]

    Good Luck!

Yup that's the one. I'll definitely be taking it over to you, if he ever gets back to me.
