URGENT HELP Needed: Sweet Valve going Loco!!
Darn, I think I made a huge mistake!
I called a well known supplier of offroad parts and spoke to a guy who usually is very wise and asked if he had a Sweet Valve ujoint for the old type of sweet vales and he said that they were not longer made.....
Then I asked if I could puncture a hole and "adapt" a newer type of Ujoint with a perpendicular screw to the shaft, he said that it was not a problem....when I proceeded to make the hole and adapt the ujoint , I notice that the shaft had oil lines inside and I started to have serious leaks and the valve behaved erratic....
Check this out:

I disassembled the valve and noticed that there was a hole where an internal shaft was lubbed and rotated going inside the main valve shaft. I tapped the hole and cut the internal shaft......
What is this internal shaft for? Once this shaft was shortened the valve acts all LOCO on me, check it out:
Is this shaft some sort of calibration device? Why is my valve presenting these symptoms? Bad orings? bad assemby? mayor Fúp?
Thanks for the advice...I have a race this saturday and I am in Mexico, hence the urgency....
Regards

I think the internal torsion bar is broken, also those splines look like 3/4 i am sure you can still get u-joints for that. Either way i am sure you need to rebuild that one or get a new one.

I had this problem when the line were hooked up backwards or reverest. double check the way the lines are hooked up to the valve.

That is exactly what is going on. Several of us buggy guys have been there, done that one.

I ended up buying a new one and wasting 500 just to be on time for the race. I appreciate everyone's input and I will play with this thing when I come back.....Time to play now!!!

The lines are reversed, rip the wheel out of your hands, or call the exorsist.

I have seen broken torsion bars do weird things similar to incorrect hose hook up. But swapping hoses is easiest to check.
