Re: Fireworks 400 info?
I too would like see some tentative information on where to stay and schedule of events so I can start to make some plans.
Its almost 600 miles away for me so its no easy drive hauling our race trailer and pre-runner to Reno, also any upfront info on the course would be helpful, I know it was said to be about a 125 mile loop and we run out of gas at about 80 miles so insight to pit locations (how many and miles between) is key for our race planning.
One more thing, the title here says 400? HDRA webste say's Fireworks 500, small detail but at $8.00 plus a gallon for race fuel and 3.8 MPG it too also factors into the planning...
Thanks

Re: Fireworks 400 info?
Fireworks 500 is going to be a great an exciting event. The HDRA team is currently working to provide preliminary information just as quickly as possible. The team is working daily on developing a schedule of activities for both on and off the course. We will post on RDC and the web as soon as information is finalized. We look forward to seeing all of you at the race. We do know the activities will be a multi-day event starting with pre-running and a gigantic fireworks display on July 4th.

Any info would be awesome. I remember seeing something posted a while back that had details about a gun range and misc but can't find it now.

Re: Fireworks 400 info?
Here are some videos from the 2010 VORRA Extreme Outlaws that was run in that same area. Prepare for lot's of 2-track and bring your spares. 500 miles will be brutal on the tires. 1 lap preruning the XO and my prerunner tires were showing cords.

Keep in mind this race was changed the night before and was poorly re-marked in the beginning.

But for 24-straight hours a D9 CAT bladed this trail to make the race happen.
