Re: combo or king kong
Don't go 7/8" links, use 5/8" and run it save your cost and you won't hurt it, King kong is for the unlimited 5, 12 race cars that have to go 1000 miles or 500 miles.

I use Tweed combo spindles with 5/8" pins. I have not had a problem with the spindles. I did break one linkpin. My car is 3000lb

I always though Tweed was a fragile brand, not for prerunning hard...Is this true?

If you use the 5/8" pins, spring for the 300M material, but they will cost you, or use the chromo 7/8" pins.

There a lot of people banging hard on them, tire size is the killer, and maintain them, stuff gets loose fix it, a little slop will lead to breakage sooner!!!

That was my problem. The link pin was loose and wore a groove in it. I am running a 30" tire. I have 2500 miles on my car with no problems, other than the 1 LP.
