    Re: Class 5 only

VR6 might not be a bad idea. Seems SCORE now has a "pump class" trophy truck class. BITD has 6100 class and tons of pumpgas ECO classes. What's the new motor for class 12....

The ecotech is 280# turn key
    http://www.turnkeyenginesupply.com/2...0-hp-off-road/

    And the VR6 is 374#
    http://www.kennedyenginc.com/Pages/E...nList6cyl.aspx

That makes the VR6 94# or 34% heavier
I don't speak spanish but I can speak with a spanish accent

Very cool but trying to get most of these guys to choke down a six cylinder in a four cylinder class will never fly . I'm usally the first to say go for it , But i have to to say four cylinder class !!

That's what a few said about the V8 crate engine in TORC's prolite class...to compete against 4 cylinders!!! Now it is all the rage in the class!!!

Has anyone talked to a race promoter about a possible change in engine rules? Any feed back at all from them?

What change are we talking about , VW V6, ecotec , any four cylinder (3000cc max), Ford power plants , Subaru , Well any new ones ?????
As a class it seems we can't deside on any flippin thing . The class has always been this way and it looks like it will never change .

I THINK THE ONLY THING WE ALL AGREE ON IS THAT WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO GET THE ENTRY NUMBERS UP ( with the exception of one or two who enjoy racing themselves for the guaranteed championship)

Keep in mind that with all of these sugestions we are dealing with " CLASS 5 UNLIMITED " and the class should be just that . The limiting factor in class 5 is and always has been the 105.5" wheel base and the beam , nuff said !!
