I dont know what you would ask them to do. The majority of class 5 racers dont want any rule changes. The guys that want to change it can't decide on what they want. Most guys want the rules to change in the way that suits them best. Thats just human nature. Eco tech guys should just go race in 3000, V6 guys can race in sportsman, and class 5u guys can race in 5u!

Class 5 open has always been a "Air cooled class" I think if you change it the class is over..Keep the classes tight makes for better racing..I always thought if you run a perfect race,no flats or brakage of anykind and drive perfectly then build a larger engine...

Re: Class 5 only
I want it to remain the air cooled and vw water cooled 4 cylinder only but with all these guy's with different ideas I was wondering if anyone has pushed forward. Its a great class of cars, I have always built unlimited beam cars with type ones that why I got into 5 u in the first place. Like Jim said we need to just get more cars to show up to the same races. build a car within your budget and lets race there will always be a guy out there with more money or a better car but that doesn't mean they'll win.

Matt Mead ,
Lets do another survey and make it a little easier.
Question , Does class 5 need a change to get the entries up or not , simple yes or no
At first I bought the majority wants it left alone, but now I'm not so sure ( Everyone I've talked to say they want something to change) , so why dont we start this way and see what develops

Re: Class 5 only
I like the poll idea on the september race. Make them post their name too. For those who dont know out of 20 people who voted 11 out of 9 are for allowing the ecotech engine. That to me answers the question of whether people think things need to change.
