2007 B1K finisher 5/16, 2010 B1k finisher class 5
I made the switch for one race. Last year's MORE Freedom 250. I had a 48" Ridgid bar on top with two fuegos on the bottom. I sold the light bar after that race. Now I'm back to all HIDs--two 75 watters on top or 70 or whatever they are and two 35 watters on the front. I tried the LEDs for the same reasons, wind resistance and lower amps for the alternator. They worked great unless I wanted to go fast. I sold them on RDC classifieds...
Wendell, we run 10 Fuegos on the roof as low on the visor as possible. This seems to be a good compromise. The Fuegos have excellent optics. On the bumper is a small Rigid Bar and then Rigid Dually's on the side of the cab and also down low by the front a-arms.
Wendell when was the last time you ran the rigid bar? I know they have made a lot of improvements and a lot of the TT guys are running them exclusively now and they are hauling the mail pretty well
I don't speak spanish but I can speak with a spanish accent

The difference between perseverance and obstinacy is that one comes from a strong will, and the other from a strong won't.

Wow 10 fuegos--- that's alot of amps for a VW. My car was almost doing wheelies at high speed with the light bar on, that's why I went with the LEDs, but then after I kept outrunning them I went to two of the big HIDs instead of 4 and mounted them as low as I could, too. Here's a picture of my car in March. I mounted them kind of to the side, low, and they were in front of the side mirrors tryint to be a little more aerodynamic.

That is a great pic Wendell!!! Love the wheelie look
I know the last time he ran it was last year. Maybe I should have said how old was the light bar itself. A year is a big difference in the lighting game right now 2 years would be an eternity
