Actually Wendells car has a siren, the microphone is mounted in the back so you dont here it on the videos. I believe its a Whellen. You might think its a little heavey. but it keeps working. we would go through the cheap alarm sirens like every race. All self contained. Just google Whellen.

Whellen has a few. Which model should I get, what should I avoid? Kartek carries a few. Same ? Want the siren, don't care about the PA system ( though it would be fun for a co driver.....)

I wish all the race organizers would make lights mandatory. You can see them in your mirrors way before you can hear a siren. A lot of the faster guys don't even use their sirens anyways. They just punt you out of the way

The difference between perseverance and obstinacy is that one comes from a strong will, and the other from a strong won't.

Is anyone using the king coilovers with internal bypasses for the front of their car? Any feedback or suggestions on these? I heard some 12 cars are using them

Cant imagine WHY you would on a race car. Weight savings I guess? I don't know that much about em, but it seems like it's more for applications where there is no room for a bypass without serious modifications. For example stock trucks, or trucks with basic lift kits. This is a cool youtube video showing how they work, make sure to read the description as well.

The bypass only engages the last couple of inches. They are basically like running a non-bypass with a hydro bump. The valving is also a lot more difficult to tune and dial in than a conventional resi or bypass shock. I think you would be better off doing the coilovers with a descent bump stop

King has a different opinion and said they are fine on a race car. I cant watch the video at work

I believe it is a WSSC30. I do like to patronize the race shops, but you may find it elseware. This thing is capable of lots of tones including an air horn sound. we just use it as a siren. Keep it simple.
