You guys are terrible. I'm guessing he's just changing it. I'll be in lake. Literally in lake mead. I have a dilemma I'll be bringing up later tonight with my car that I want your opinions on. It has to do with rebuilding my old chassis and all thats involved, building, a new 5 car chassis to switch all my parts off of. Or nothing and have a 10 car in the more near Or later future

Wheezy, have you decided which way you are going, in the mean time, with your motor on the Baja? Did you pick up an ECOTEC or are you gonna run the type-1 for now? Will the Bug be ready for the Midnight race?

The cam was fine, wear-wise, but was not where we needed to be lift and duration-wise. I assemble my own motors and have done so for many years, so the only investment was some gaskets, silicone sealant, gaska-cinch, and my and my team-mate's time. Both FAT Performance and Adam Wiks confirmed I needed to run a different cam, so that was the reason for my team-down. The lifters, on the other hand, had a little of pitting on the face! I ended up going with an Engle W-125 and the CB performance light-weight "race" lifters. As soon as I get her assembled, I'll be doing a dyno run to get it at peak performance with the new cam. A dyno run appears to be a relatively inexpensive investment at this point with the new class-12 engine "option" development.

I've been listening to a financial genius on the radio and now on the internet for many years. Today is "Money Monday" on his show so your quote above stuck out. He recommends having at least 1 year of what he calls the "F you fund" (meaning if you quit). Since you own your own growing business that would mean more of a "rainy day" fund, or you know, if somehow the business started drying up. I *suck* at managing my own money even though I give everyone advice and I could only WISH I had a 1 year F-you fund when I quit in February this year. I had clients on the side that wanted some big work done after I quit....and I made some good money for a few months, but it dried up almost 100% after that and I suck at advertising. Now I'm selling everything I own just to get by while searching for a job. So whatever you do, make damn sure you can afford to build what you want to build! Don't go credit card racing like I did last year either!

(MORE 500 last year 10 cars were 2nd and third over all , and we lost by 32 seconds)
I think your best bet (if we get the engine rule) is to find a 5 car chassis , there are a ton of them out there and some realy nice ones for cheap
