1600 micor stubs
Okay, the Micro stub system I have on my car is CNC . has three bolts to hold the hub to the rear swing arm. used loc-tite and lock washers. got about 300mils thru the 500 . wehn I started looking at car when I got home, noticed one side alittle off camber and found out that two of the three bolts had come out. anyone know what the torque setting should be or are they being wielded to the arm??

I'm not completely familiar with the exact model of what you are using. But one thing that is common to most of the unitized hubs, is that the big mounting hole must be a snug fit on the hub. The bolts alone will not be able to hold things together. Even on a stock street driven truck, the hub must not be loose in the spindle.

I agree with Chuck, but am curious what kind of bolts & nuts you are/were using?

Yeah that hub has to be a pressed fit (Dead blow hammer style) and I usually drill out the threads and use a f-911 1/2 inch bolt and put a nut on the back side to insure they stay on.

the hubs fit tight as stated or suspected..they fit tight against the arm. the bolts are the ones that came with the set up from CNC...and I did not check to see what they were rated at. will have to look and see if there is room to put a nut on the other side. what is a bummer is that there are 6 botls but I can only use 3 on the arms.

Re: 1600 micor stubs
the Kartek set up uses only 3 bolts, 1/2in with loctite torqued to 75lbs.

throw the cnc bolts in trash use f-9-11,s with nuts on back side and red loctite.test then recheck and your good to go.p.s some are metric. also if theres no room for nuts drill and safty wire and use sheraded grade 8 washers lock washers will sometimes break when you tighten bolt .

Re: 1600 micor stubs
Dump all lock washers not needed for electrical contact.
The very concept of how a lock washer is supposed to work is stupid. The joint has failed if the lock washer comes into play, and sometimes the failure is due to the lock washer.
If it's critical use prevailing torque (grade 'c', "Stover", jetnut) type locking nuts. If it has to periodically come apart use nylox. And throw those away every second to third use. If you can hand thread it past the nylon, pitch it.

Okay, will get new bolts, new washers..not lock washers, and see if I have room for the nuts. used lock=tite last time but maybe not enough. and will torque to 75lbs. and then check after testing...also think I will have them drilled and use safety wire. thanks for all the feedback and anymore is welcome also.
