I AM a knucklehead, I was confused on what a TRUE bump side is confused with a step side. So would Steve's be considered an UN-bump side?
Appologies Mr. Newhan................

Well I believe that the '67-'72 is considered the bump side for its body line and the '73-'79 is considered the dent side...
I'm glad I could set you straight my man, hehe

Re: If you had a factory TT team in 1979... This is what it would look like!!
This is what I have so far...
The truck was originally purchased by Jim Jacobus ( an old class 8 racer) from Robert Loud (sp) Ford. It was purchased from Jim by Jack Lynch. Jack had Jim Derhoff do the work to it back in 1981. All of the fabrication is very clean. Jim Derhoff used to prep the class 8 of Jim Jacobus. Max Coleman bought it from Jack who sold it to Joe DeWinter. Joe had it for a time and passed away some time ago. Joe's Brother ended up with the truck and put it on RDC in the classifieds. Credit to Sandy Cone for the history.
Steve found it and asked me to get hold of the Mr. DeWinter and make a deal for it. The truck was very clean but Steve wanted to do it justice and get it painted. There was also a knock in the engine so it the truck came to San Diego for the treatment. Greg Grosset of Total Performance gave the 427 Side Oiler (Yes I said 427 Side Oiler, The real deal) the treatment. I will post all of the details soon.
I picked the engine up today and I am starting the assembly process. I will document the progress here...
It won't fail because of me!

The Japanese were paying $100K for those 427's in the 90's when they were infatuated with Cobras. Is the truck going to be driven a lot? It might be a good idea to put a crate engine in and keep the 427so somewhere safe!

It will be secured. The truck will be driven on special occasions.

It may be sacrilege to say this, but I think the engines were made to be used, so drive it. . .don't abuse it, but enjoy it, much more fun than just looking at it. . .

Re: If you had a factory TT team in 1979... This is what it would look like!!
This truck appears to be the same truck, or very, very close, to this one that I took pix of at the '08 Parker race. It was parked next to the road at Badenoch's, as I recall. The guy was asking about $12K for it. It had extended radius arms and maybe a few other details that are different. As I recall, there was a feature done on this truck in Petersen's 4 Wheel and Off Road in the early '80s.
If you aren't re-using those Premier bolts, Mark, I know someone that would be interested in them.
