    King ibp

    Hi,

Is anyone running King IBP shocks? cant seen to find a whole lot of info on them or seen them on any buggy's.

I am looking at running a IBP on my car to try and keep it as light as possible but still want to be able to have some external adjustment with them. any recommendations of a shock/ IBP i could run?

    Thanks Aaron

King makes a coil-pass if that would help you... youd have to call them for more info though.

I know there are some short course cars... maybe some off-road cars, i think it would be great on a class 10 or 12. I know king made a custom 4.0 IBP KING KONG Coilover...

    Re: King ibp

the coil pass is 2 shocks stacked on top of each other. a 8" stroke shock is about as long as a 18" stroke shock, and cost about what 2 shocks cost.

the IBP is great, but it does not offer the external adjustability, other than the compression adjuster that you can purchase additionally to solely lighten or soften the ride.

But for how the bump zone kicks in, when it kicks in, and how stiff the transition is, all has to be tuned inside with the dual pistons.
When a man knows how to live dangerously, he is not afraid to die. When he is not afraid to die, he is, strangely, free to live.

With that mentality though, I guess we could also make 2 TT classes for those guys that just can't keep up with the faster TTs. Oh wait.... This is racing. - Dan Vance

    thanks,

Do you know how much the IBP cost in comparison to buying a coil over and a bypass?
