^^ Thanks for that guys, as it's really appreciated! Honestly hadn't even crossed my mind although when we go hiking with our dogs we're always on guard - though we haven't taken them out lately since the foxtails are raging.

@ gotteracing - your chase guys boots, just curious if they were run of the mill style or something more protective with steel toes?

steel toe, it was my brother in law the crane operator. he wears his boots to bed even. LOL

@ G.A.S. ya 7 rattles, i normaly dont touch the wildlife, but it was side winding between my chair and cooler and my reflexs cause me to clobber him on the noggin with my cooler lid. i wish i left him alone and scoot him along like i normaly do. so i now have a rattle on my workbench. over the years ive seen 7 rattlers, 2 scorpions, a few cototes, 3 tortoise, and too many of those freeky chuckwalla lizards. all from years of rock crawlin, bikes, desert races ect.

ok, back to racing. we should be on the lakebed by dark tonight. truck is loaded. just need ice and dinner to go and leave. good luck to all classes.

Anyone having trouble with the USR.File download of the race? I get an error mesage from my 480 Baja gps about the wrong C F card.

We got 8th in class, ran the first two laps hard, fire extinguisher fell into engine compartment and beat the hell out of the
Pulleys, kept throwing alt belts. Went through several. Finally got towed to main fixed her up and went back out. 2 hrs of
Down time. Last lap was 40mph the whole way. Shocks were toast.

Glad to finish and finish decent considering the car has sat the past three years.

I found a pic of Gidi, I was trying to take a picture of my Cherokee and some racecars drove by. I was Over there helping out some photog that thought he could drive. They were chasing an electical problem for a while. I was glad to hear they made it back to main without stalling it.
