I think RD was going as fast as he possibly could going for the win. No racer will ever settle for 2nd place when they are eating 1st place roost all moto. Sorry, I don't buy into "racing for a championship" thing this early. You can see both him and JS were charging based on the bobbles they both were making throughout the motos. Those boys are not cruising. That's for sure!

my take on rd, as a fan, is that he is racing for the championship already. he knows, just like everyone else, that js7 will hit the ground eventually. does this kind of racing make me happy as a fan, absolutely not! i don't know how rd can take the roost for 30+2, i would pull the grips off my bars for a pass! but rd is not that guy and probably never will be. it's super frustrating as a fan!

RD actually made more mistakes running that pace than JS. He actually went for passes and didn't hold the position. Every time RD applied more pressure JS turned it up - turning his fastest lap near the end of the race. Dungey was frustrated and discouraged and as he is my #2 favorite rider after TC, I was too but I can garuntee you that being 14 points down 2 races in is NOT Dungeys strategy to win the championship.

I can't help but wonder how that scary swap in the 12-pack would have gone down on the Yamaha...

Really? While your boy sits out yet another season due to injuries, from crashing? Meaning he still has only finished ONE 450 MX season.

When both you and your favorite rider are sitting on the couch...not a good time to talk about other riders ability to ride motorcycles. Just sayin
