oil cooler pluming
I was wondering what is the proper size tubing to use when pluming my prerunner. I have to run the trans lines and engine oil lines and not too sure on what the best size would be. It's a full size chevy with a 6.0 ls engine(450 hp) and a 4l80e trans. The trans has 2 large cbr oil coolers with fans that the lines will be going to which I belive are -10 fittings, and the engine will have a frame mount cooler, any advice will help. Thanks!

Re: oil cooler pluming
-8 for trans lines and -10 for the oil lines. Make sure you plumb into the bottom of the coolers and out the top.

Re: oil cooler pluming
You want the lines to be bigger then the original fittings out of the trans and engine to make sure you have little to no pressure drop.
For example the -8 lines for the trans are bigger then the common 5/16" and sometimes 3/8" steel factory lines.
