    GoPro tech support said, when hardwiring a Hero2 camera with the Wifi backpac, to use a cable similar to the Powerlet mini USB (PPC-015-DB) and you only need to hardwire the camera. If you start with a full charge on the backpac, power will be used until it reaches "critical" level, then it will draw from the camera. As long as the camera is hardwired - enough power will be drawn from the camera to keep the backpac powered and functioning. It will not fully charge the backpac's battery but will maintain a "functional" level. So you only need one power cord to camera.

    As a side, idle power duration for a Wifi backpac (fully charged) is 5-6 hours without any hardwire source available.
