Talk to Rhiannen, Jimmy, or Scott @ PCI, they are absolutely sure to have the correct answers!

    Re: Go Pro questions

I bought my GoPro from PCI along with my intercom a couple of months ago and didn’t get my complete order, only billed for what was sent to me.
That is why I went on the internet to hear hands on experiences verses counter technicians that somehow didn’t send me my complete order, I didn’t receive the roll bar mount and intercom to camera hook up I ordered
I would appreciate if they could answer some of my questions here as during the work day I don’t have much time to chat on the phone.
I forgot to ask how I connect the intercom to the camera

yep. be sure to wipe off the lens. we ran through some mud at last years 500 and covered the lens with mud. it was at night but it wouldn't have mattered if it was noon..everything we saw when we watched it was brown...you need to be sure to have your co-driver wipe the lens off every now and then.

    Re: Go Pro questions

On the GoPro Wifi backpack, does the backpack need to be recharged separately from the camera? Example, when "hardwiring" the GoPro into the car, does there need to be a second hardwire going to the Wifi backpack? There is a charging port but was unsure if it would get charged through the camera...

The WiFi back does have it's own battery that needs to be charged separatly.....Now if that battery gets low, or maybe didn't as much charge as needed, it will pull power from the cameras battery.

I just recieved my WiFi setup last week, but have not had a chance to take it out, so I have no idea on it's battery life yet....

    Re: Go Pro questions

...Heard the Wifi backpac has several hours of life between charges, then draws off the camera when gets low.

"Looks" like if the camera is hardwired in the car it would need a hardwire cable for the camera, a hardwire cable for the Wifi backpac and an audio cable from camera to intercom...to pick up voice, basically seems like a lot of cables. (especially at 50.00 a pop for a hardwire cable)

Also, since a skeleton case is needed to connect for recharging and the charging ports (camera and Wifi backpac) are on opposites sides... looks like an increased chance for dirt to enter. Lastly, even with the remote, you still need to manually turn on the Wifi (backpac) to allow the remote to function, sorta removes some of the convenience.

Still sorting out an in-car three camera system and was wondering how some are "working around" some of the obstacles...
