    beefing up spindle

I have giant equal length beams that are set up for stock F150 2wd spindles are
there any aftermarket spindles that would work

or is there a way to beef up the threaded area for the bearing nut I know about
gusseting but what can I do about that area
    any ideas are apreciated

I was thinking of drilling out the cotter pin hole and putting in a grade 8 bolt and lock nut not sure that would help much or cause more weakness on the end of the
    spindle
    Thanks Clint and FiberwerX

    Re: beefing up spindle

Are you talking about beefing up the spindle (upright?) as referred to here???

    http://www.blitzkriegoffroad.com/pro...ingpin_spindle

and replacing the balljoints like referred to here:

    http://www.camburg.com/store/susp-sy...wcamburg-hubs/

    or the snout (spindle?)???

    http://www.camburg.com/store/driveline/front-snouts/

Mentioning the balljoints makes me think that you mean the the spindle/upright and not the snout, but then you referred to the threaded bearing area so I'm not sure if you are referring to the snout.

Sometimes nomenclature can be confusing because different people refer to different parts by the same name or the same parts by different names. I have heard the people refer to the spindle and the upright as the same thing and the spindle and the snout as the same thing. . .since I don't have an I-beam vehicle I'm not sure which part you are talking about. I realize the I-beams don't really have uprights like A-arm trucks do so maybe that's why the names are different.

    Thanks for clarifying for me.

    Re: beefing up spindle

The part I am talking about is the snout. Where the rigor and bearings go then there is a nut to hold it all on followed by a coffers key. Thanks for looking. ThY second link is just what I need but wow 6 grand. Is way out of kbt league

    Re: beefing up spindle

You could make a sleeve with the interior dimensions of the spindle and weld it on. I did a similar project but used Howe 2" hollow spindles and made a plug to catch the outer bearing register. Came out nice.
