Well, our Oregon Trail Rally didn't result in a finish but we had a great time.
Thursday we participated in the press stage and that went very smooth
Friday's stages SS1 through SS4 at PIR went very well, we finished the Wagon's Ho Rally 2nd in class and 5th overall. That netted us around 17th overall mixed with National Entries.
Saturday we went off slightly on SS5 with no damage and needed a tug onto the road to continue and were back up to pace quickly once back on the road.
On SS8 we had an issue. In the last 1.5 miles of the stage (the fast smooth part) our passenger rear control arm shattered, sending our strut into the ground and tossing the car into a very swervy slide. Upon stopping, we were able to remove the rear strut, zip tie the blown out drive axle onto the exhaust, and limp our way about 9 more miles into service. We arrived into service 8 minutes late.
30 minutes later we were all fixed up and ready to go, but had been time barred by Rally-America.
We wrote that off, and finished up a couple more prep items to continue Sunday. Sadly we quickly learned that the front diff was blown out and we could not continue.
