    Battery after being @ Ford

This is how the Ford dealer cleaned the corrosion off the battery post on my SD. Just want to know what others think.

No need to get carried away. The battery will be replaced soon anyway.

Yeah but didn't plan on the cables and what ever else the corrosion will eat if not addressed very soon.

Or baking soda, which is a "base" and neutralizes the "acid". Hate doing it in the drive cause it stains.

That whitish powder all over is acid and will corrode all metal it finds. The top of the negative cable is loaded with the stuff. In time had I not checked their work the acid would have leached down into the cable and most likely leave ME stranded in BFE.

lots of little things like this done in the 'big' shops, ask for a brake flush? youd expect they bleed the brakes all our do is put a different brake fluid in at the top, pump it a few time and suck the old stuff out of the reservoir. The other thing is a lot of shops warranties aren't covered if you even CHECK the work.
