Pro Buggy Shootout- June 9 Lake Elsinore Regional Race
Get those Pro Buggys out to the next Lucas Oil Regional race June 9 at the new Lake Elsinore track. $300 entry fee and so far we have a $2000 purse if ten or more cars show up. We will do a special payout and right now I will throw it out as $1500 to first, $350 to second, and $150 to third. We are still working on this and hopefully it will grow some more before the race with cash and product. Thanks to Jeff Quinn from McKenzies for throwing in some cash to help make this happen. Mickey Thompson tires is also throwing in one set of tires.
I know some cars have switched hands recently and hopefully this will stir up some others to come have fun at the Regional race. Practice Friday afternoon for $50. If any companies or racers want to jump in and help out, get ahold of me or Ken and we will try to build this up some more. We just wanted to get this out before Speedworld and we will be working on this more right up to the race next month. [email protected]

looks real nice Dan great job! it will be interesting to see how the air cooled works--- how are you on weight? I will say im 1820 on the button --but I think most of the cars in the class are over by 200lbs so you could do real good ----
I look forward to buying pump gas and the realible Chevy Power from the ECOTEC --
lets hear what you made for power on the dyno-----

Is that 2000.00 on top of the entry pay back money?

Your car looks nice. Body panels are funk-a-rific. That's good to hear that they are going to waive Tech and let you race a chassis that is built out of cheap azz chinese ERW tubing. Be interesting to see how you do. Hopefully your Ecotech will do better than my light weight Air-cooled car. No way I could keep up with the Honda's... Bummer when you get to a straight and they pull you 3 or 4 car lengths... just no way to make that up.

So what motor are you going to run now?
It’s a catch 22 – ether you build a grenade that you hope lasts all weekend or you go for reliability and get smoked – the best thing to ever come to this class is the Chevy. I don’t know about you but I’m tired of driving for hours just to wrench all weekend and blow up, I am going to have fun and at least be able to work on handling and driving the car without looking at my oil and temp gauges every second and then thrashing all night to fix something? Heck I would rather flip and replace a roof or some nerf bars or bumpers than work on a air puke motor. You and I both know a 2.4 stock anything is way better than any air cooled time bomb. Now I can look forward to changing my oil every year or 300 miles whatever comes first.
You know how good this car turns handles and drives so it won’t be any big surprise to you when it does good, do you still like the a-arm car in comparison to the beam car?
