Prep costs on a 4.0 sohc

What kind of prep schedule are you expecting for a 4.0 SOHC in a 7s truck? I see a FAT 4.0 in a 7s, what kind of power does this engine make ballpark and are you going to be running this engine with 110 leaded? I would think a motor like that would be thirsty! We normally get about 5-6 mpg on our class 11. What's this 7s gonna be doing? What is the durability of a 7s engine? I'm used to the disposable world of 1600 vw motors where valves and topends are disposable items.....

little late but my 7s gets about 5-6 mpg on a stock 4.0l sohc has a junco tune on the brain putting 180# torque to rear tires running 35 bfgs on 91 octane pump gas . prep on engine is oil change and plugs after each race if that.they run strong and reliable we have blown a few and just buy a used one and go race.

SOHC are good and durable with decent power band. Like the standard LS motors but of V6 config.
