Internet Explorer Security Warnings
In the last couple days I've been getting security warnings every time I go to a forum, and often just opening a thread on a forum. They are saying that this site is trying to link to a google site likely to launch pop-up ads or to do data mining.
Anyone else getting bugged by this?
Mod, have you started data mining from your visitors?

Re: Internet Explorer Security Warnings
The problem is the first 2 words of the title of this thread.
Use a real browser such as:
www.google.com/chrome
www.apple.com/safari
www.firefox.com

Re: Internet Explorer Security Warnings
Thanks for the quick response.
As Klaus' report on browser penetration shows IE is far away the most used browser - I suspect even more so in the corporate world.
I tried Chrome and dumped it in two days.
One of our users was on Firefox, and it killed her on-line purchasing app - back to IE for her.
It is like some of our more "advanced" users complaining that we should dump our Intel servers and Windows desktops and go to Apples and the Cloud - great idea, no thanks, can't afford the change however elegant and swoopy it may be. Can't afford reprogramming a custom boat yard job cost application.
IE may not be the most advanced tool in the box - but as long as it has the overwhelming share, that's what you'll see from your users.
Thanks, though, again for at least responding. Many sites would just say "Oh screw it, another crank"

Re: Internet Explorer Security Warnings
No clue what that error means.
We use google DFP to serve our ads and they point out malicious ads if there are any.
Currently I have no open tickets with them indicating no problems.
What Austin said. The three other browsers eliminate half the problems Internet Explorer users experience. Nobody in our office uses IE. We do test compatibility against IE on a Windows/IE test environment and to me its an awkward way to surf the internet. Most things don't look the way they where intended by the creator of those websites. Sorry to tell you IE users this.
Luckily web trends continue away from IE and we have less users every month still on IE. Eventually there will be a day where we stop testing for it and RDC will simply be designed for all unrestricted browsers. That day is not today so I sincerely would like to get to the button of what you are experiencing.
