Re: Men's Journal Dakar Story
That was an awesome article in a legit publication. It was cool to see Darren among other world-class heros in the same magazine - athletes like Lance Armstrong and Jeff Lowe (a mountaineer I admire).
I wish there were more journalists like Jonathan Miles who could write about motorsports like that. He did a great job capturing the struggle without being melodramatic - it was REAL, the way Miles depicted it.
Great quotes from Darren too.
Kind of pissed off that Darren didn't get the cover - maybe Men's Journal has a maximum testicle size rule that Skilton exceeded?

The guy behind the counter at B&N asked why I bought six copies of Men's Journal today.... I said I really really like a shirtless Lance Armstrong, he agreed. We had a moment! hahahahaha

That was my fault Kent. I was supposed to provide images to accompany Johnny's story but my camera gear got stolen in Copiapo.

Re: Men's Journal Dakar Story
So I'm flying my Southwest jet a few nights ago and the captain has a copy of Men's Journal (I usually opt for Cosmo myself). I had told him earlier that my hobby is off road racing so as he's going thru the magazine he says I should read this article about the Dakar rally. I had no idea this article was out there BTW, but when he gives it to me the first thing I see is Darren's ugly mug so I nonchalantly say, "oh yeah, I've raced with that dude before." Cappy looks at me like I'm crazy.
