You must really like changing cams......... Any off the shelf oil will kill a VW cam in short order. You need something non smog legal with a fair amount of zinc in it.

Lucas oil racing only 20-50 is what we are running from now on. That stuff is just awesome. High zinc content!

Have run only Lucas 20-50 since first Mailman motor. What are you going to run in your Subie?

Whatever it is, I guarantee it will be a Lucas Oil product. Not sure which. Probably same I'm guessing.

Greg at FAT has us running VALVOLINE 20/50 Synthetic.

Just curious, what plugs does Greg say you should run? He is building me a custom set of 044's with 42/37.5 valves. He is not done yet so I havent talked to him about plugs yet but since our motors are nearly the same, mine is 2161cc, what plugs are you guys running?
