Agreed!

The bonus to the 6.2 is that with a Cold Air Intake, Exhaust and tune you can be bumping up against 490 HP very easily and reliably. I have a feeling that the Eco Boost would have to be pushed quite a bit to hit that, plus it's still possible to throw a supercharger on the 6.2 and now you're up over 600 HP, that's not my style but I would love some long tube headers and a CAI!
I've driven the Fikes-Texas-Raptor & it has awesome "Track-n-Turn" capability, Unbelievably improved Stability at Stupid Speeds, A Front-End that REALLY wants to go Pre-Running...and a Back-End that may not be that much Better than stock...when it's all said and done...
The Rear may be "smoother"...
A Bit More "Compliant"...
Have substantially more forgiving Bottom-Out "feel"...
But, it CERTAINLY has LESS carrying capacity and spends most of it's time "Squatting" way up into the Shock-Travel...a lot "shorter" feeling than stock...go figure.
The Brenthal kit (FRONT!) makes it REALLY want to HAUL BUTT into VERY Gnarly sections...where...the Rear-End seems to run out of Ability REALLY QUICKLY.
Now, about the Eco-Boost V6...that I have about 3000 "Mixed-Miles" beating the HELL outta it...and...
It takes off like a Super-Car...Big TORQUE...RIGHT NOW...Turbo-Mercedes AMG Kinda-Torque!
Get this: They have an "Over-Torquing" issue...too.
Kinda cool, except, the darn thing will go into "Limp-Mode" when it recognizes that it's producing TOO MUCH POWER...bwahahahahaha; and, until you stop and trun it off to "Reset" the thing...it rattles-n-shakes like a P-51 Mustang with a Broken Prop!
The Turbo V-6 mlg is an easy 20+Fwy and 14+ Cty in a 4X4 Crew (Driven kinda "nicely")...you'll only get that in a 6-Duece rolling down hill with the Engine OFF! Still, the 6-Duece sounds Reallllllllly Nice. In-fact, with the right Exhaust...the damn thing sounds EXACTLY like the new 427 'Vette...WTF?
The Trans-Programming and Load settings for the Eco will need to be ENTIRLEY different and I believe that's proll'y what we're waitng on. They'll HAVE to do it since they have some Serious CAFE issues staring them in the face...
Expect the Eco to ad about $1K to the price, too.
Me?
I can give the Brenthal Front-End a SOILD "Two Thumbs UP!" and for the Rear I'd say ad the Bottom-Stoppers and go with some 3" shocks of your favorite flavor and call it a day.
If I had money fallin' outta my pockets I'd buy Nimby some Fox 3" shox and rear Stops...maybe get some of those Yoko specs from PAB and call it a day. Maybe cage it if he's gonna keep runnin' Baby Kay around in it, too (The Nimby Family is the Officail DA Day Care Factory Team).
Interesting thing about Nimby: He drives the **
ĦAy, caramba!****
ĦAy, caramba!****
ĦAy, caramba!****
ĦAy, caramba!** outta that truck, all the while, taking VERY GOOD care of it...he proves that the Raptor fulfills the mission.
About OX: I can only pray that you get to meet a person that can make you want to rail The Baja WFO the way Jeff made me want to...EVERY time I hit that starter button.

Re: Raptor vs. Ram Runner Part #1
Thanks for the info. KORE just sent a guy there to purchase that truck. He wanted to finance the bundle.
In addition to the full factory warranty, that's another huge advantage to the Raptor - a guy can walk into a dealership and walk out with a pretty cool truck he can pay on for 60 months.

I know this sounds pretty wimpy but I'll be in Italy with my honey for 3 weeks in July. I know, it's a rough life being a Nimrod but it's a curse I have to bear!

As long as "honey" isn't a burley guy with a mustache wearing a leather police hat I think you're OK.
We'll figure out a time period that works.
