New Race venue
Hey guys, there is a possibility of a new venue being setup for short course in Nor cal. Its been discussed with the facility operator already but before anything pushes forward, we need an idea of what do you guys think about it? We want to see how much interest there may be for it before we meet with the operator again.

You should post this on VORRA also.

Re: New Race venue
A long time ago, like 5 or 6 years ago, there was talk about building a short course track in Marysville, out by the river bottom, or E Street, I can't remember which.
Then a couple years back, there was rumors of turning the old dirt oval at Sac Raceway into a short course.
Count me as an interested party.

Re: New Race venue
Location is in Marysville. It will be run separate from VORRA. Still very early in the planning phase. We are also trying to set up rallycross events out there as well which is the original and primary objective right now. Short course came up during discussion and Im doing some investigation. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Re: New Race venue
Is it going to be in the river bottom area? or E street?
I know a few years ago when the rumors were going around, people in VORRA were very interested.
I think a more "true" short course with a soild schedule, low entry fees and simple rules could get some racers to show up.
