Re: broken down racecar extraction stories in baja..
Well said Marxico you always see stories of guys waking up and thier shocks are gone up here in the good ol USA even at the race tracks so it is not isolated to Mexico.
My story is local Plaster City we broke a spindle and it put us on our lid with no help or teammates as we were only testing. A guy comes rolling up in his jeep with his wife and daughters and helps flip us over then There is a guy who lives in Ocotillo comes out and drags us to the road and after several attempts to load our truck on our trailer we could not due to the height and no winch Lesson learned there He says he would go get his tilt trailer and loan it to me Wow so he comes back with this cool tilt trailer steel bed and big winch and we drag our smashed up tucks on his trailer, Then he says he would just take it to my house and drop it off no big deal he says But I live 75 miles away well lets get going he says so we drive home and we unload my truck he starts to walk back to his truck I go and thank him and he says oh thats what I do no big deal ( I had to make him take the money for his time and gas he didnt even want that. good people for sure and I dont know what I would have done without him. There are good people and Bad for the most part the people I meet that understand what and why we do what we do are good folks.
Thanks Clint and FiberwerX

Re: broken down racecar extraction stories in baja..
2010 Baja 1000. San Vicinte Class 8 wipes out front end in San Felipe Wash.
Driver and Co-Driver make big fire to keep warm and send race traffic to safe lanes.
Chase crew arrives with flat bed trailer and hydraulic stinger. Get Race Truck secured on Trailer.
Race course is only way out. Really soft. Hook up Super duty to help tow Heavy Duty with trailer with race truck on trailer. Still not enough. Need 4x4 Explorer too, 3 Trucks strapped with last one towing trailer w/ truck.
