    Sounds like it could be the Supercross for shortcourse. I read Gordon provides 30 trucks and the drivers pick a number to determine the chasis they will race that weekend. They are all spec trucks, kinda like Superlite but with 600 HP V-8's. It seems it would be better to have the racers provide their own trucks and set up??

    Why would it be better for teams to provide their own trucks? Not only does this method even out the field, but it also reduces the maintenance cost by being able to make or buy parts in bulk. Also lowers the transportation cost if you can load 10 trucks on one semi versus each team having their own.
    Plus the promoter can guarantee that he will have a full field for each event. I see a lot of benefits to having this type of operation, as long as it stays racing, not solely entertainment.

    Teams are allowed to setup their vehicles

    Competitors shall be allowed to modify the following to achieve maximum performance from
    Race Vehicle:
    • Change spring rates;
    • Adjust ride height;
    • Tune shock absorbers. Team/ Competitor may buy a set of shock absorbers,
    install them, and keep as own private confidential information, subject to the
    limits to be determined by the Series;
    • Adjust tire air pressure base, subject to minimum PSI limits which will be
    determined by Series and tire manufacturers;
    • Adjust front toe;
    • Adjust rear bite on truck arms;
    • Adjust anti-roll bars. Team / Competitors may buy and install a set of anti-roll
    bars and keep as their own private confidential information.

    Been really surprised that there isn't more buzz going on about this.

    Exactly! Should make for some good racing.

    I would like to learn more about the UTV deal. A chance to win part of 10k sounds appealing.

    Ya, just slightly more expensive....and the $10 an hour kid with the flag probably won't be giving you the stink eye for making some contact.
