Really now a days winning the Baja 1000 , 500 , V-2-R and The Mint is reconized more than racing for a SCORE or BITD championship. I hope the Fireworks 500 in Reno becomes one of these premium races also. 5-6 major media reconized REAL desert races each year could get some decent sponsorship with races in the USA and Mexico. This would be a great schedule for pro or coalition groups but would be MUCHO EXPENSIVE.
