your close on the money...I recently prepped that car and the parts bill came to 13,000.00 (yes 13 thousand)
Yes your right thats a great deal for someone to rent a race ready car all inclusive.
It is also a great 9 car (4130 chassis) for someone to purchase and have a fresh car with all top of the line parts
Is that $13,000 to rebuild the car or just to prep the car?

LOL how do you put 13grand into a car that is 95 percent VW?? Come on
He actualy spent closer to 17K but that included a short course/open transmission As well as the desert box that is in the car now. A lot of guys let the class set their budget and sometimes buy what they will "get by" with.
Everything bought for this car was bought with the intentions to buy the best parts and not skimp on anything
His attitude is to buy the best parts he can and not have to make excuses when something he skimped on brakes (yes even though its a 9 car) It is a very nice car, all 4130, has a soft fuel cell that you install through the nut ring hole (that and the can could almost buy one of those rdc cars) all top of the line parts and was rebuilt with no ceiling on the budget.
So as you know Dave it adds up very quick.
By the way how the hell did thet 1600 car end up on the roof of your 5/1600 at parker
