Re: 604, Josh, please tell your story from the 500
I honestly can't believe that NO OTHER racers stopped to help Josh out. Those of you who know Josh, know that he will help anybody he can. Come on people, we are all out there doing what we love to do....when you see a fellow brother in trouble...HELP! I understand if you are front runner and have a chance to take first, but there were so many people that just drove by! If I am ever lucky enough to race my Jeepspeed down in Baja and I came across something like this, I wouldn't think twice about trying to help.

When we came to a stop and I got one of the A$$ HOLES to come over to try and help me he said "what do you want me to do?" I asked "Can you pull me out?" His reply was "we dont have a truck were just hanging out here on our motorcycles and quads" I told him " well can you ride back down or up the course and get someone to pull us out!" He told me " let me see if one of the guys will go" AND FOR 2 1/2 HOURS THEY DIDNT GO ANYWHERE TO FIND HELP!!!!! Can you f$^@ing belive that? There were 3 small SUV's that passed by two with winches all at different times but none of them could budge my 5000lb race truck! After about 2 hours 618 passed by and shortly after that 600 passed by and then the CARLI POSSE ROLLED IN TO SAVE THE DAY! I cant tell you guys how dissapointed I was to see about 8 americans on bikes stand there and do nothing to help. After I went off the side of the cliff the same A@@ holes rolled the bolders out of the way of the course. It took 3 guys just to roll them, thats how big they were. Well thats my short story and to all the racers out there, REMEMBER its not just the locals that are trying to get you hurt or even killed! Im just glad that no one was hurt and we still finished 3rd. Congrats to GAVIN for the win and to Heide for 2nd place. See you guys at the next one!
PS, one of my guys has a video on his iphone with 2 of the A$$ holes faces! PLEASE POST IT!
We need to find out who these guys are so we can hang them by their little piggy's. Post their pic's up everywhere. Plaster their faces all over the inter web. Somebody will recognize them.

We were right next to you guys, in the white F-250 2wd.. We looked for the truck on our way out, but didn't see it. Must have been other side of Erindira? Glad it worked out..

if you would have waited around a few more hours the got milk truck probably would have helped. They tugged our crappy running TL up some silt around RM 395. I am glad you got out ok,I heard you were upside down over the cliff !

Re: 604, Josh, please tell your story from the 500
Josh please post up the pics or video of these guys cause that is unacceptable. We as racers and fans alike need to be there for each other. This sport is not like any other racing and the pure remoteness is what makes desert racing so much fun but also very dangerous at the same time.
Racers, fans and chase crews have a responsibility to one another no matter if they are american, mexican or other to help one another in times of need. The Carli Crew where simply out being fans and heard the need for help and did what they do no matter the circumstances and others do just that all the time cause it's what we do, I mean just look at the DA Crew their exploits are legendary for literally saving lives. I keep tabs where they are and during a pre run of the 2010 1k we needed some help and I knew the trailer was going to be at el crucero and just north of Coco's my bro busted some hard parts so we headed that way and they got us up and running. It's a big family and we need to help one another.
Great story that you guys are lucky to be able to tell and we all know that it could have been way worse. The Carli Crew has been known for some really incredible tugs for vehicles being stuck from these desert bound diesels.
