Snows Race Team 1719 The Official Story...Please Help get the Girls back to the track
Back in February we Snow Girls had a traggic event, our perfect 1700 car burnt to the ground to no fault of our own. We are in process of trying to rebuild our car, as we have purchased another frame and bits and pieces and we are online for the August B.I.T.D. Vegas to Reno, Parker, MORE's Powder Puff, as well as Henderson to close out the 2012 season. We are anticipating a second vehicle to be complete by either Henderson or the Parker 425 to start off the JeepSpeed season 2013.
With this said, we are in need of sponsorships/donations of any/all types. We lost everything in the fire including our gear, helmets, gloves, and Dakota's driver suit when they cut it off before airlifting her out.
If you have a business or know of someone who still has a budget for advertising this year, own a company that can help with everything from gear, to camera's, seats, atk wheels, radio's, lights, etc..., are philanthropic by nature or know someone who is, or just want to help put a JeepSpeed back together from scratch with all of the hours that will entail, we need the help... If I have hit upon something that you think you can help with or know someone that can, please review our film and forward it on. Please make the introduction for us to get the help we need. We have lots of room for advertising stickers on empty doors at present.
Here is our link.... Let's get the Snow Girls back on the track.... Our family needs this more than you could know.
Healing cannot complete until we get back in the seats.... Without your help it won't happen. Please pass this on.
God Bless to all of you and your racers...

Re: Snows Race Team 1719 The Official Story...Please Help get the Girls back to the t
Paid 1/4 what it takes to build a competitive car. Had to rebuild the trans? Really? That's every two races if you want it to hold up. Navigator not watching the guages and overheating the car til it catches on fire? Burning your hands on the hood? Would you put your hands in a frying pan on the fire? No? Better stick to the kitchen.. Torn ligaments beating on a fire extinguisher? Really? They have a button. Panic attack lands you in the hospital? Some people shouldn't race. I hope you do financial services better than you work on cars and/or race. The sob story is gagging.
How did your suits, gloves and helmets catch on fire? Did you throw them into the car as it was burning?
When I heard the original story, I thought it was a crash that resulted in a fire, not an oversight.
Karma for badmouthing the guy you bought the car from if you ask me.

It is very apparent that you are not a JeepSpeed racer, nor have the understanding of what we went through to make that car so amazing. We went through a very traumatic time and six days in the hospital does not constitute a panic attack. The extinguisher did not function properly the button would not engage...my gloves were in the car, my helmet filled with so much carbon that it is ruined, as my CO2 levels were so high they had to suction my lungs twice after multiple breathing treatments, my daughter inhaled mass amounts of fiberglass burn off when she went to unlatch the hood as it engulfed in flames, her suit was cut off of her before they took her into the life flight helicopter vehicle while she was in and out of conciousness...
What is your goal? Speaking like this, as if you truly knew what happened, while trying to tear apart all of the statements that I made without reading or listening to what has been stated. Why so hated??? We overheated after the electrical fire started and burned through the clutch master engulfing the front of the vehicle instantly, not an oversight.
Why bother to explain myself or my daughter to a man that is only concerned with saving the ego of another. You were not there the day that we purchased the vehicle and were told that we only had an issue with second gear of the transmission, not a cracked chassis, not a cracked block, not a vehicle with ten year old axles that snapped during a test day......it is obsured for me to try and explain something that had no hate behind it and had been dealt with prior to Parker between my husband and the previous owner...
We put everything we had into that car, money, love, time, opportunity, everything.... That is why it is such a loss, that we are ok today is a BLESSING, not a curse as you have stated...I hope you have a blessed day....

I built a Jeepspeed in a barn with my friends for 3x your purchase price. I've won Parker, Henderson, and the Baja 1000 in that car. I've poured my heart and soul into a car or two.

All of which could have been avoided by walking away when it was smoking. Your daughter didn't know where the extinguishers were? Who puts someone in a car without that? That is very irresponsible. Opening a hood when there is a fire underneath is absolutely the wrong thing to do and could have killed her. The first thing I saw is the car wouldn't go into gear. It's most likely due to overheating the engine, which melted the clutch line and caught the fluid on fire. When Jeep 4.0's overheat, the header gets red hot and almost always melts the clutch line. The motor most likely wasn't tuned right. It was lean.

I'd like to keep inexperienced people out of the desert and keep a family that thinks they should be racing from getting killed. The electrical fire didn't make the car overheat and there are no wires down by the slave cylinder that would melt it. When you were sitting there trying to put it in gear, before it was even smoking, the damage was done. Daughter says, "we're hot," jumps out and smoke everywhere. Why were you still in the car?

I know the previous owner and knew the car, not like we are buddies or anything, but have delt with him on occasion. Cracked chassis? That's a unibody car and beginning with race #2, every jeepspeed owner that races a cherokee has to endlessly chase cracks with a welder. Broken Jeep transmission? Say it isn't so. I went through more than 10 of them in 5 years of racing. That's spec class racing. You broke the axles testing? Someone needs to learn how to drive.

That you came away alive after making a lot of potentially deadly mistakes isn't a blessing, it should be a wake up call. There are a lot of family activities that are fun and involve a lot less risk. May I suggest kite flying? It can be done almost anywhere, but there are inherent danger there too. Read the disclaimers on the kite package.
