Snake Bites - Informational Video - How to treat a snake bite until EMS arrives

This is a pretty good video on what to do in the event you or someone you know has been bitten by a snake.

First and most important - don't be drunk and try to pick up a snake. Did you know that most snake bites are to drunk men on their right hands.....it's actually true.

Now - if you or someone you are with is bitten by a snake - CALL 911 IMMEDIATLY. If you can identify the snake to the EMS responders that is very helpful so they know they type of ani-vennom to administer.

Try to stay calm and avoid excessive movement of the bite area.

And if you don't get bit, cut the head off, skin it, gut it and slice it up for tacos. Don't waste it like the last three rattlers that my friends have killed this month.

    BTW, great advice Kim.........

Great post Kim I learned something today, Thanks.
A couple of weeks ago on a jobsite we were eating lunch in the shade sitting under a tree next to the bushes, we were starting to get up and a 4 foot rattler calmly cruised past us and continued on it way paying no attention to us it was truly a beautiful site to see mother nature doing its thing undisturbed.
We watched it cross the street and do its thing for another 10 minutes then traveled off.
Would I have sat on the ground next to a rattlesnake for any reason? NO
This was a perfect example of how undetectable they are, but as long as we presented it no harm it did the same.
Cut my age in half or fill me full of alcohol and I would of attempted something stupid, instead it was an enjoyable experience.
    Live and let live
I am a hypocrite if the snake was close around my house I would of killed it,but thats what the cats are for to eat the snakes food source
