SCORE pump gas Class 1
No doubt Spec motors are revolutionizing the sport for the mid budget folks. I for one am very excited. Heard a lot of different chatter in Mexico that along with the new Super 8 class, SCORE for 2013 will be announcing a similar change for Class 1 style buggies.
Class 4 will become a spec sealed V8 class.
IMO, that would be an awesome class.

I think the new rule should be for every new class created, one class needs to go. There is way too many classes already and next thing you know we have 20 car/truck classes with 3-4 entries per class. Adding classes is NOT the answer, maybe finding an existing class that fits your pocket book instead of changing it because someone wants it to fit THEIR needs. Steve, this is not directed at you buddy, just MHO on the subject of adding ANY new classes.

Actually I think the new sealed motor classes might do just that...attract a lot of onesies and twosies from smaller classes and combine them into bigger yet more affordable classes. I suppose those smaller classes would still exist but eventually nobody will be racing in them.
Just walk away. I will give you safe passage in the Wasteland. Just walk away and there will be an end to the horror. I await your answer.----The Lord Humongous

I agree with about don't add classes. That's what I think is one of the better changes if this is true. Is changing Class 4, which is dead with most everyone having moved to Class 10.
IMO if this happens this class will be huge.

A 10 car with an LS3 and a good wheelman would be a nice combination that would have a good chance to overall some races I think. Just my 2 cents...

So is pump gas and sealed engines the new middle class of racing. Just remember with sealed engine rules no matter what class it is. The promoters must have the tools and man power with the know how to be capable of inspecting the engines and fuel and actually do it.

more classes = less people racing against each other (in one class) = more boring to race and spectate

That would be a good rule. The stock sealed V8 buggy is a novel idea, and would probably have great appeal. It could become a large class with some coming in from class 10, some from the lower end of Class 1, Some class 12's and 5 open cars may even be revitalized and join the class. I don't see how that would be a bad thing provided that the Engine rules are diligently policed. I think it would be an even bigger boost in the more grassroots series like MORE, SNORE ect..
