PERFECT WORLD: Smaller tier promoters like SNORE, MORE BORE, VORRA (no offence guys just using as a reference), get the Novice racers and they can work their way into a bigger class.....if they want to. Once your ready to move up, you can move up to the SCORE, BITD series (not sure where HDRA is yet, they are showing promise) to race with the elite classes. This is almost like NASCAR/Nationwide and the ARCA series. You can't just enter the Baja 1000 because you saw it on TV. I know that this is the cool thing about our sport but it might also be the downfall. Make the races in SCORE & BITD even more special, meaning you have to EARN your way in. If you are new you should have to race X amount of races in the smaller tier races to qualify to race a SCORE/BITD race. With that being said, SCORE/BITD will only have the best of the best classes (here comes the arguement). TT, class 1, class 10/12, 1600, class 8, class 7, manufacturers stock class (mini/full). Thats just an idea but the classes can be adjusted......like class 11, I think it needs to be there and even class 5 because it's the history of the sport, but a line has to be drawn.
Lots of guys that do NOT have one of these vehicles are not going to be happy but NO ONE will ever be happy about change. For all those D2G guys that want to race the Baja 1000 one time, NORRA is a GREAT alliterative, plus a better chance for them of coming out ALIVE.
Think about it, you just can't enter the premier race because you wrote a check, you have to EARN it. Look at the Indy 500, Daytona 500, F1. With more organization and less classes, it's a more spectator friendly series, which in turn makes for more interest, which calls for more exposure.....TV!
This most likely will not happen so it's a pipe dream. Then again, Maybe SCORE buy's out a smaller series and calls it SCORE2............
