I don't claim to represent Crandon--but I do have close ties to the track and have my finger on its pulse most of the time.
That being said, since when does Crandon want to "take over"? And "take over" what exactly? On what information do you base that statement? Give me FACTS. Not a sensationalized opinion followed by the word "fact". Show me quotes in print, firsthand accounts from multiple RELIABLE sources, anything tangible--and we can open that discussion.
This thread's discussion has nothing to do with Crandon anyway. My only point in asking if you've been attending meetings at Crandon is that (time and time again) you claim to know inside information about what goes on behind closed doors at Crandon when I am 100% certain that you indeed do not know what's happening there.

You better check where your finger has been? And hay cliff and the gang will do what it takes to protect ther 40+ years in this sport bank on that---- and if USAC is not cutting it and the racers are not happy with the way things are going they will take over. And you can bet your finger on that sunny---

Speedfun - your out of shape man. I have no idea what you are talking about in relation to Crandon. Its pretty clear that your trying to undermine TORC's credibility though. I don't know your history but I don't think this helps the issue at hand.
It seems like most folks favor the series working together but then then slam each other based on hearsay, rumors, half truths, and outright lies. To dang bad... This is a serious issue. People stand to loose their hobby and have their livelihood impacted.

30 + years as a driver in this sport raced in ever series and started at the age of 5 in 1/4 midgets- motocross - SCCA- jet skis ISJSBA NHRA-MTEG- grew up working for the late great Steve Evens at Irwindale and orange county international raceway for 5 years…. This is not my first prom---
This deal has been going on from the mid 90s we thought we had it made with CORR and we got jim Baldwin.ed
in December of 08 I was supposed to be sponsored by SONY-PS3 for 3 years but no series no sponsor -- I lost my butt and so did a lot of guys – and I went with the deal RJ put together and is now TORC— now because I was bitter with everything CORR and Tony V. was CORR’s director of completion for CORR I went with TORC--- But I soon could see I may have goofed up--- hay I had a 50-50 chance right? Well team LOORRS has shown everyone from the drivers to the top dogs at CBS-NBC this sport is the most exciting badest racing on the planet and they are doing it like no other has done before.
it was great that in the start of 09 that we had 2 new start up series but everyone that has been with this sport knew one day there would be only one and I still think that today---- we just don’t have enough cars and trucks to go around to make 2 series work. Lets look at NASCAR how many start and parks do they have? And why? Network contracts say 40? Cars have to start a race by contract!
Team LOORRS has given every driver the marketing tools to be able to get a national sponsor. ---- Lets say you’re a Roundy round guy or a desert guy what do you have to offer sponsors? Nothing----
we are all in a marketing business that happens to be in motorsports.

Business move or not, Michelle Huseman has verbally supported the event. Can't it be a business move AND a heartfelt gesture?
