I don't see how hyper-priced, hand picked 'good ole boys' spec racing is going to do anything to change anything. I could see this whole series' premise being defunct if the existing shortcourse open up the rules on pro-lite, or create a new class to allow higher HP crate motors and reduction units on the tranny. Hand made race cars will always have more of a "cool" aspect than spec. What's the point of being spec if they cost so much?

Re: Shortcourse UNIFICATION??...is it here??
but i also feel if Torc wanted to do this huge race to support them a call should have been put in to Lucas to explain what they had planned and see how it could be done to not effect either series and support the family without causing all this mess.
Are you kidding? Do you think Walmart calls up Target and asks them if they can build a store in Target's area? I dont think so. And if drivers want the two series to get along I think its gonna take alot more than just Rob Mac and Curt LeDuc to speak up.

But I thought this was to support the Hussman family, not to out due the other series, now I'm confused!

Dirty-
Let me extend an invitation for you to come to Labor Day Fall Crandon. I'd be pleased to have you stay with the Offroad Fraternity. You can stay in our new camper. Under my circus tent, I'll show you the most dedicated shortcourse offroad fans you'll ever meet, you can meet several drivers that we've sponsored, enjoy our gracious food and drink hospitality. See our videos firsthand on our big screen. I'll personally take you skeet shooting right at the track, after playing a round of golf. Bring your trout fishing pole as that will be done trackside as well. I'll show you the best chicken wings you'll ever eat while sitting mere feet from the infamous "turn one." Sitting in the Nissan grandstands after understanding whose names and why they're such dedicated would shed some light on the meaning of racing in the midwest. I'd personally show you miles of race vehicles led down a state highway by a state trooper into the famous Crandon parade. A state highway that's shut down for hours. I invite you to assist our team in the pit crew challenge. I'd invite you to chat with folks such as Cliff, Gopher, Jake, Fay, Cowboy and others. I can get you a glimpse of the "Board Room" and possibly a ride around the track in a pace truck. Hopefully then you'll have a better idea as to what off road racing means in the Midwest and be in awe of the sheer numbers of spectators who enjoy an extended weekend of inexpensive family fun.

Come on, enough is ENOUGH! THIS is what Sept. 29th & 30th is all about. To remember, to show our love, to express our feelings, and to HONOR 2 young men that left us way to soon!! No matter WHERE you choose to race, just do it "HUSEMAN STYLE!"
Please take a moment to watch & remember.

Tater,
Thank You for such an awesome invitation to a great event. Much Respect to Crandon!! But I'm not sure I'm relaying my post right. Crandon will be Crandon and will have XX,000 thousands of spectators enjoying it regardless if it's called the PDailey World Championship of OFF ROAD or the NORRS Universal Off Road Mega Blowout. Maybe one day I will be able to attend but I still will not know the true / accurate numbers of what came through the gate.
In regards to your post Tater- I feel Crandon is a unique and special event and feel that if TORCs intentions for a Memorial Event were 100% for Rick then Crandon would of been best fitting for a True Champion. In my Humble opinion.
Much Respect to the Huseman Family.

I am sorry you feel that way, but that would be like having a "Jack Flannery Memorial" @ Lake Elsinore or Speedworld. Location seems like a "no-brainer" to me.
