Re: Calliente 250 updates
1366 had to drop out at Pit B on the last lap due to losing the number 3 cylinder. It was the driver's first race and he was doing awesome. He's pumped for his next race though, September in Wendover with BOR most likely.

Greatly appreciated!
I'm assuming that wheel is now not worth saving?
No problem. The McMillin, Freeman and Conrad teams helped too. That front did not want to go on the wheels studs real easy. The rim looked toast to me. The Freeman guys brought it back to the main pit.

The rim was toast and the tire had a big gash in it

My buddy Mike and I ended up pulling him out after the close of pit c. I pulled him back as Mike kept tight his winch cable on the front nerd bar, not allowing it to flip. Once we got him back on course, we turned the trucks around and strapped him between us. Mike pulling him down the hill, and I acting as the brakes. Most technical retrieval I've had to do thus far.

Many issues that would require welders, etc and a mile walk in.
Outer pivot was completely torn off
Trailing arm was ripped in 2 at the inner pivot bushing
And the ultimate killer was that it pulled the drive flange(still attached to the axle/cv) out of the trans. No fixing that in the field.

Good stuff. I knew it was going to take a short wheel base 4wd or 2 to get him to the road. Didn't seem like their long bed chase trucks would get back there or be able to turn around. It was real tight back there.
