Greetings from Woodstock, Ontario, Canada!
Hello my name is Jim (Seatyger). I am absolutely totally new to off road and desert racing. As a hobby I collect and restore Canadian Military Vehicles. I am in the process of rebuiding a 95 GMC Suburban, replacing IFS with the GM Dana 60 front axle, FF 14 Bolt Rear, TH400, NP205, Gearvendor etc. with my Son. It was while we were squirreling parts for this project that we started learning about the different styles of off road truck racing and here we are! This will become our primary transportation to attend a couple events come 2013. He has decided upon Offroad racing over NHRA and NASCAR!
What is really great about the people I've encountered to date is their no BS attitudes and straight up responses. As well my Son managed a passing grade in Math (He is 12) by learning and talking to builders, backyard mechanics on gear ratios, angles, how to measure! Being able to picture and apply theory really works.
We are looking forward to the experiences ahead.
