Do you know if it will be available at contingency? How was the course? Fast?

Hey Victor, couple questions for you (or anybody that has prerun this race)...
Is the course, with the exception of the start to Ojos and the Mike's loop, the same as it was last year? I cannot tell from the map they supplied, but is it using the "EXAGGERATED SPECTATOR LOOP" (what SCORE calls it) just after leaving the highway at KM 78?
Thanks for the intel.

Curtis,
It is NOT using the Mike's loop, It goes from Valle Trinidad straight to San Matias on the hwy, down the wash & pass, runs the whoops next to the highway.
It does NOT use the exaggerated spectator loop, just the normal one just after leaving the Hwy at KM 78/79.

Yeah I have spent some time looking for the gps file and found one on the website that is from last year but appears to match the map using the google earth file. I e-mailed them some time ago and have heard nothing. I will load what I have but sure hope they have it available at contingency.

Thanks Archie. I was trying to figure out a GPS plot based on old courses, and could not figure out the mileages they have on their map. Theirs seem a little bloated. Figuring the course without the "exaggerated spectator loop" puts the first part of the course right around 75 miles from just south of Ojos to the "goat trail", if it uses the same course as last year. Then there is right around 15 miles of pavement to the "Restart". From there, it appears to be the same course they used last year for the same race, around 67 miles to the finish. Right around 157 miles total. This is for sure going to be a SPRINT race.

I would agree that it is VERY close, minus the exaggerated loop.
I do have a GPS plot based on what I put together along with a google earth file of what I said above. Since it is by no means official, if you want it, then PM me and I will pass it along.
