Who to contact for custom fiberglass projects?
Hi all,
I'm a ways out from it, but looking to get a quote to have a set of molds (and a set of glass) made from a VW Thing front clip.
I have a complete front clip that's been removed from the car, cut just inside the A pillar at the rockers. I wouldn't mind cutting it up if it made the mold work easier. I would also need a front hood done at the same time. I'm in southern California, but would travel if necessary.
I envision putting about a 1/4" spacer around the trunk lip of the front clip/plug so that the molds would make glass that lipped over an existing damaged clip, or that would allow building a simple structure for mounting.
I'd be buying the molds and possibly running a few pieces if I could find the interest. I just can't see hanging a new front end on my current car (that I lawn darted) when fiberglass could make an easily replaced option.
Appreciate any tips on possible sources.
Thank you,
Jordan

I would recommend Mike McQueen. we bought a 7200 raptor body from him that fits very well, after we bought a body from another manufacturer that fit very poorly. cheap fiberglass sucks.

Thank you both! Mike, I'm out of the country for work right now but am scheduling my next trip home shortly. I'll give you a call to set something up then.
Thanks!

Get ahold of John Tripp. Rcp is the business name. He has done tons of one of a kind projects. He made the body for the German Motorsports BMW. That thing turned out amazing.

Re: Who to contact for custom fiberglass projects?
Check out Glassworks Unlimited, best glass in the market. I got some front glass for my Ranger and it fit perfectly and is extremely durable. They also do custom stuff, my buddy went to them for a custom job, they did it super fast and came out great.
