What if we could arrange a race on Camp Pendelton during the late summer? Talking to a buddy of mine who is a fairly high ranking dude out there who has organized some events for Marines in the past and he thinks it might actually be doable. It might have to be a charity event to raise money for Wounded Warriors in order to get approved, but so much the better IMO.
Just walk away. I will give you safe passage in the Wasteland. Just walk away and there will be an end to the horror. I await your answer.----The Lord Humongous

I don't see why not, California is pretty friendly with the off Road crowd and I'm sure the EcoNazi's wouldnt have a problem with off roaders driving on those beautiful California beaches...ESPECIALLY IF IT WERE FOR A GOOD CAUSE!!! On a serious note, I absolutely LOVE the idea, see what you can do on your side Zambo.

Well the beaches would most likely be off limits but the good thing is that the race would be on tank trails that already exist. Plus, the military is not immune from the econazis but they are somewhat insulated compared to the rest of the state. I could easily see a medium course type event like Laughlin out there with designated viewing areas set up.

The Base would be awesome, and i'm sure the volunteer's would be plenty -- those young Marines, a lot of them from the sticks and hills love their off-roading and would probably love to sit at a road crossing, a wash or where ever to be involved - and maybe do a race on Veteran's Day and have some and or all the entrie$ go to a 'Lost and Wounded Soldier Program' or something like that -- Who wouldn't race something like this
not just a "spectator" .....
