The Vette has ALWAYS been the go to G-Machine. There has been very few cars in the last 30 years that even got close to the Vette's skid pad numbers.

I know why and it has nothing to do with tires or suspension.

The Ford uses a modern engine with overhead cam, variable valve timing and more then 2 valves per cylinder hence the efficiency.

For the price of those cars I would look into a M3 or even a 135 to go around the track.

Believe he is saying that they are not as... Thus much less power and efficiency. ZL1 handled better.. But the Stang did beat its lap times... Until the brake fade kicked in.

I'll take the vette any day of the week. As far as not being efficient I always wonder why it takes some of the European car builders 4-6 more cylinders to make the same HP as Ford or Chevy.

One car I haven't seen mentioned yet in this battle of the muscle cars is the Dodge Challenger SRT8. I'm a Chevy guy, but I'd take that Challenger over the Camaro any day of the week. Damn that thing is sexy.

Zr-1 will smoke all those cars! Ya the mustang has 12 more horse power but you can not meet the syspention of the zr-1 with a mustang.
