What breaks the most? Spare parts that need to be carried?
Just trying to get some feedback on what you guys feel needs to be carried/what parts break the most in a long race assuming that the prep was done right. What would you buggy guys make sure you carried on the car?

In our class 9, we've got a spare tire, oil, and throttle cable. I don't think there is anything else we carry, Anything else is kept in the pits.

Belts! We have them zip tied to the engine for quick change if/when the primary fails and another two zip tied on the rear cage.

Brake lines. Carry a cap that will thread on so if you rip one line you can pull it off and install the cap and at least have 3 wheel braking. Throw some aircraft cable and a couple of cable clamps in. They come in handy holding parts together when you need to limp it out to your chase team for a fix. Quick steel epoxy, mechanics gloves, Rescue tape for hose repairs, Lug nuts, fuel filter. driveshafts and CV's also break or take damage often.
Like other people have said info on your class and setup would yeild better advice. You are not going to be able to anticipate everything that can go wrong so it is better to have tools/items that can get you patched up enough to get to your pit or an area where your team can get parts to you

whatever parts you decide to carry, make sure you also bring the right tools to change them out. sounds simple enough but when you're busy with everything else to get ready, it's easy to overlook things sometimes...but no biggie.. most of the time it won't be the part that you took with you that fails..jus' sayin'.

on our ranger, we carry a spare alternater, steering box, power steering pump, belts, a piece of carpet, tools, tow strap, fluids, winch , a shovel and hoe, food and water, and a sat phone. along with the other stuff score tells us to bring like first aid and flares. this is for long endurance racing though. with shorter races you can get away with less stuff. for buggies i don't know other than what's been mentioned so far. good luck out there and have fun.
