Re: What breaks the most? Spare parts that need to be carried?
This has been debated many times in the past but from my experience as a driver and as a MAG 7 Pit Captain, I've seen a lot of different things break. Things like shocks, torsion bars, steering boxes, tie rods, Lights and so much more. For your class 9 buggy, I would say carry a couple of Belts, Spare tire, clutch and throttle cables, Oil, CV's, along with the usual stuff like tools, 2 way Radio, first aid kit, water, zip ties, duct tape, tow line, fire extinguisher. The rest of the stuff should be in your chase truck.

We carry a shovel, spare belts, zip ties, electrical tape, hose clamps, tools, throttle cable, fuel line and filter, food, water, a portable radio, and some sort of thermal blanket for long cold nights.

Its a ecotech 10 car.
Tire, belts, full CV/Axle set up, some common nuts and bolts, limit straps, oil/fluids. perhaps some spare heims and bushings, duct tape electrical tape, zip ties if you can stash grease around do it. really comes in handy.

What ever you carry doesn't matter, what you need, will be at the furthest pit. At least for us that's how it works.

I like to have enough water on board to completely refill my cooling system if needed.

On top of that make sure you have someone in the car that has pride because the driver loses that when the car cant compete anymore
